The brand hand-picks vintage pieces among thousands (yes, 1000+) garments: only a few will get the "wohoo!" feeling and come back home with the founders. 
Every item will then be carefully reviewed, cleaned, and repaired if needed

Liseth started Serendipity from a desire to wear modern curated clothing without harming people or the planet. After traveling around the world, the urge for a drastic change was stronger than ever.
Andrea, who has inherited her passion for vintage from her grandma and upcycling her mother's wardrobe, was eager to spread that "feeling of uniqueness" in a fresh way.
To make vintage accessible to everybody while building a better lifestyle was just the perfect serendipity moment that ended up in the birth of Ensō

Each of Ensō's products is curated and retouched (if needed) in their studio in Amsterdam

Liseth and Andrea started Ensō from a desire to wear modern curated women by giving clothing a new life. Both coming from a fashion industry background, they decided to stay involved while feeling proud of the products they bring to other women, joining forces with others to pursue the same goal

The colourful world of Zazi started in 2017 from a student bedroom apartment of its founder Jeanne De Kroon in Berlin. In Afghanistan, Zazi works with an atelier with a commitment to women’s empowerment, artisanal craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. The atelier brings together over 25 tailors and 100 home-based female embroiderers and partners with the UN Ethical Fashion Initiative. They also work with The Saheli Women’s collective, an arts and fashion studio where 40 women bring beautiful designs to life in a small village in Rajasthan, India.The Saheli Women centre focuses on community building through creativity and facilitating women’s economic and social independence. Additionally they work with IkatUz,  a social enterprise in Margilan Uzbekistan.The atelier brings together 5 masters, 9 artisans, and over 50 Ikat weavers and partners with the Ethical Fashion Initiative

Zazi wants to be transparent about the many costs that are both unseen and seen in their small business. For each of their products, you can see a complete price breakdown including the cost of their materials, artisan’s work, shipping, customs, design fees, marketing fees, bags and packaging, payment fees, country tax, and "Zazi working costs" which is their markup. Any profits leftover are directly invested into a new community so they can slowly grow the company, step by step

This handwoven squared-neck silk dress is a true feminine dream with its form-fitting silhouette, delicate beaded back straps and intricate bandhani tie-dye decoration carefully made by the BairAj community. Bandhani is an ancestral craft from Gujarat which is made by plucking the cloth with the fingernails into many tiny bindings that form a stunning motif on the textile.

ARTISANAL NOTE
In 1994, Nivedita Banerji started Kumbaya as a stitching centre in a remote village in Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh. Today, over 100 women from marginalised communities work in Kumbaya Producer Company Ltd, where employment is guaranteed for 300 days a year. 
Banerji says nothing is considered waste at Kumbaya, with leftover waste being reused to make another garment besides creating sustainable fabrics. “We have always re-used dead stock discarded by industrial fabric units and bought hand-woven and other artisanal cotton fabric made by skilled craftspeople across the country. I want to make Kumbaya work more on circular fashion and design,” she adds.

Zazi items are handmade with carefully selected natural materials without the use of synthetic chemicals. To cherish your handcrafted Zazi dress for a longer time, please handle it with care. 

This handwoven fabric feels smooth on the skin and falls softly on the body. 
Due to the hand-dyed and handwoven nature of the fabric, there might be color and motif variations making each piece one of a kind. 
Protect from heavy rain or heat. Should it become wet, we advise to air dry. 
Washing by hand is advised to maintain quality of thread and colour.

Two teams of women coming together from far corners of the world to create products made with the intentionality to truly connect you to the stories interwoven in them. ZAZI items are shipped worldwide with carefully selected packaging and partners with the planet in mind. Each piece is wrapped in an exclusive reusable bag handmade from upcycled Saree and our packaging is made from recycled materials. As express shipping is more harmful on our planet than standard, we aim to use standard shipping where possible.

Shipping Europe: free. Standard delivery in 1-3 working days. 
Shipping outside Europe: €19,95. Normal delivery within 3-5 working days. Please note, all custom duties and/or import taxes that may apply for shipping outside the Eu is the responsibility of our international customer.

Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality and environmental value. 

Upcycling artists are inspired by the textile waste they see, which is almost an unlimited resource at this point. They create with the intention to use what is already here. This process is important in the circular fashion movement, because it makes use of discarded textiles, giving these materials second lives. 

Because discarded textiles are not typically sheets of fabric, but rather articles of discarded clothing, a lot of creativity is required to transform materials into new fashionable pieces. This challenge is exciting for upcycling artists, as they are driven and inspired to create with what is in front of them and often don’t have much to lose in the process, since discarded materials are readily available and cheap. Because of this, upcycled clothing is often unique as each piece has been thoughtfully crafted into a new garment.

This product is made by creatively upcycling materials that would otherwise go to waste. This makes better use of resources like deadstock fabrics: leftovers from big production that are saved by re-using them.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unworn or unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging and we require a receipt or proof of purchase. You are responsible for the return shipping.
