What the brand can prove
!

Copenhagen Cartel supports climate transition: it is currently a partner of 1% For the planet and it is working to become B-Corp certified

Copenhagen Cartel's packaging is made of recycled materials, everything from polybags to care labels and dustbags is recycled. Hangtags are made with FSC-certified paper. They do not use any mixed materials in their packaging

Thanks to the partnership with 1% For the Planet, Copenhagen Cartel links a percentage of its sales to saving baby turtles and periodically makes donations to other environmental causes. Additionally, the majority of their collection's products are made with a pre and post-consumer regenerated nylon fabric

Copenhagen Cartel promotes Ethical Labour by making sure all their suppliers are compliant with their own Code of Conduct, which includes labor and human rights policies on working conditions, health and safety, social dialogue, living wages and child/forced labour

Copenhagen Cartel supports women empowerment as its major shareholders are women and more than 50% of their C-suite roles are represented by women

Copenhagen Cartel is an inclusive brand representing the diversity of size and ethnicities

Copenhagen Cartel is currently a vegan brand. As they state in their code of conduct, if they will ever include animal-derived fibers they will make sure the animals are healthy and fairly treated

Through their partnership with 1% For the Planet, Copenhagen Cartel is contributing to preserving biodiversity by supporting the birth of baby sea turtles

Copenhagen Cartel is a slow fashion brand limiting its production to 4 collections per year with the exception of once-in-a-while capsule collabs with brands or icons sharing the same ethical ethos

Copenhagen Cartel is tackling Closing the loop from multiple sides: they provide an archive sales section on their website, they do not create deadstock (by keeping all inventory for sale) and their code of conduct requires their design team to consider circularity principles when creating new styles and choosing the materials mix. Additionally, they sell a 'Repurposed Collection' through their social media channel: it is a selection of accessories made by repurposing fabrics scratches and samples

Copenhagen Cartel collections are designed to be versatile, timeless, and multi-purpose: to be worn as swim, active and underwear

Swimwear and activewear brand on a mission to challenge the traditional ways of production and consumption by implementing immediate solutions to alleviate some of the pressure on the planet.
