What the brand can prove
!

Monica, the founder of Santicler was one of the early advocates of slow fashion and sustainability, and has carried that through her brand vision, company principles, manufacturing practices and sees it reflected in each detail of Santicler's collection. The brand's tightly edited collection of minimalist must-haves strikes a perfect balance between effortless, versatile and lux and each timeless piece is of the highest quality and of lasting value

Located in the picturesque city of Oradea in North Western Transylvania, Santicler's partner factory is family owned and has been manufacturing high quality apparel for prestigious European brands for more than 25 years

Founded by Monica, the brand is carefully managed by a small team

Santicler's partner factory is family owned and provides fair payment, health insurance, maternity and parental leave, regulated working hours, protected labor conditions, and equal employment opportunities to all their employees aswell as banning child labor. In addition, the factory is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified, requiring high-level structure, using mandatory definitions and incorporating common standards requirements and clauses

Each Santicler garment is sewn in a factory in Romania using European sourced fabric, primarily from Italian certified suppliers

Santicler uses carefully selected materials that look and feel great, come from sustainable and renewable resources, and are easy to care for. They use eco cashmere that is GRS certified to be 65% recycled + 35% virgin cashmere fiber which has the same properties as premium cashmere, but with a much lower environmental impact. They also use merino exclusively from Beaufront farms in Tasmania where they practice environmental stewardship in partnership with Bush Heritage and Tasmanian Land Conservancy. They also use washable viscose yarn, made entirely of traceable and renewable raw materials, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to come from sustainably managed forests. They also use organic cotton jersey that is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified

The plastic used in Santicler’s packaging is crafted from bio-plastics and is fully compostable. These bags are made just like an orange peel—fully decomposable in less than 30 days with no toxic residue. All their boxes and paper wrapping are made from materials that have at least 80% post-consumer content and are non laminated, therefore they can be fully recycled in any municipal system. They also have eliminated hangtags as they find them unnecessary and wasteful. They strongly encourage you to reuse, compost, or recycled their packaging

The farm and Tollegno 1900 that Santicler uses for their wool conforms with the Responsible Wool Standard, a voluntary program that certifies the wool to come from farms with a progressive approach to managing land and from sheep that have been treated responsibly. The standard is globally applicable to all breeds of sheep and mulesing is strictly prohibited
